Your adventure begins with a morning flight from Zanzibar to Arusha, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by your safari guide. From there, enjoy a scenic 2-hour drive to the iconic Ngorongoro Crater often hailed as the eighth Natural Wonder of the World and the largest intact volcanic caldera on Earth.
Formed over two million years ago by a massive volcanic eruption, the crater’s towering 600-meter-high walls enclose a thriving ecosystem that spans more than 19 kilometers in diameter. The landscape is a stunning blend of acacia woodlands, lush swamps filled with hippos, and vast open grasslands that host an incredible variety of wildlife.
As you explore, you may encounter Maasai herders moving gracefully alongside herds of buffalo, wildebeest, and zebra. Midday, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater surrounded by nature’s beauty.
As the sun begins to set, you’ll head to your lodge for a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay.
After a refreshing breakfast, you’ll set off for Tarangire National Park—one of Tanzania’s hidden gems. Covering over 3,000 square kilometers, Tarangire is renowned for its massive elephant herds, towering baobab trees, and the lifeline of the park—the meandering Tarangire River.
The park comes alive, especially during the dry season (June to November), when animals gather in large numbers along the riverbanks, creating scenes reminiscent of the Serengeti. With a rich blend of ecosystems, Tarangire is home to more than 2,000 elephants and boasts over 500 species of birds—making it a paradise for both wildlife lovers and bird enthusiasts.
You’ll enjoy a scenic game drive through the park, followed by a delicious picnic lunch in the heart of the wilderness. In the afternoon, you’ll head back to Arusha and continue on to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your return flight to Zanzibar—bringing your incredible safari experience to a memorable close.
