Safari Tour Highlights

Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Your safari adventure begins with an early morning transfer from your hotel in Zanzibar to Zanzibar Airport. You’ll board a flight to Serengeti National Park, which takes approximately 1 hour. On arrival, you’ll land at the Seronera Airstrip, the main entry point for the Serengeti’s central region.  Arrival at Seronera Airstrip: Upon landing, your guide will greet you at the airstrip and provide you with a brief overview of the day’s itinerary. From here, you’ll immediately begin your safari journey. The Serengeti is famous for its endless plains and diverse wildlife, and your game drive begins as soon as you leave the airstrip.

 Serengeti National Park is home to over 2 million wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles, as well as predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. During your game drive, you’ll have the opportunity to spot these iconic animals, especially in the central Seronera region, known for its rich wildlife, including the Big Five: lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, and leopards. The park is also famous for its incredible birdlife and its vast savannahs, where wildebeests and zebras graze in huge herds. Depending on the time of year, you might even be able to witness the Great Migration, one of the most impressive wildlife events on the planet.

  • Lunch:
    Around midday, enjoy a delicious picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the park, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding wilderness. Your guide will set up a comfortable lunch stop in the midst of nature, allowing you to relax and recharge for the afternoon activities. Afternoon Game Drive: After lunch, continue your exploration of the Serengeti on a game drive, venturing into the heart of the park. This part of the Serengeti is teeming with wildlife, and your guide will take you to the best locations for spotting animals. You may visit famous areas such as the Seronera River Valley, known for its high concentration of wildlife, particularly during the dry season.

Day 2: Full Day Serengeti Game Drive & Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you’ll head out for an early morning game drive in Serengeti. This is the ideal time to observe predators like lions and cheetahs, as well as herds of elephants, buffaloes, and giraffes. The cooler temperatures make it a prime time for wildlife viewing.Late Morning: Return to Tukaone Tented Camp for a hearty breakfast. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the Serengeti as you relax and prepare for the next leg of your journey.Lunch:  You’ll enjoy a packed lunch at a scenic spot within Serengeti, soaking in the landscape and wildlife around you. Your guide will choose a beautiful and safe location for this lunch.  Afternoon:  After lunch, continue your game drive through Serengeti’s vast plains, rich with wildlife. Depending on your interests, the guide may take you to iconic areas like the Seronera River Valley to view elephants, hippos, and other wildlife, or explore regions abundant with predators.

  • Journey to Ngorongoro Crater; As the day winds down, you’ll begin your drive to Ngorongoro Crater. The scenic drive through the highlands offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Arrival at Embalakai Ngorongoro Camp:
    By late afternoon, arrive at Embalakai Ngorongoro Camp, located on the crater’s rim. Check-in, relax, and enjoy dinner with breathtaking views of the crater.
  • Evening Dinner & Overnight Stay:
    Unwind with a delicious dinner, reflecting on your day’s adventures. Your stay at Embalakai Ngorongoro Camp provides a restful, immersive experience in nature.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive & Return to Arusha

After an early breakfast at your camp, you’ll head to the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage site is home to an incredible variety of wildlife. The cool morning hours offer optimal wildlife viewing, and you’ll likely encounter elephants, wildebeests, zebras, and the endangered black rhino. The crater’s year-round water supply ensures that animals remain within the area, making it a prime location for game viewing.

The Ngorongoro Crater is often referred to as a “Garden of Eden” due to its lush landscapes and dense wildlife population. The high walls surrounding the crater create a unique ecosystem that allows for an intimate safari experience.

Lunch:
Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater at one of the designated scenic spots. This break allows you to relax and take in the stunning views of the crater floor while surrounded by wildlife. The picnic is a chance to recharge and reflect on the exciting wildlife encounters from your game drive. Afternoon: After lunch, continue your game drive before ascending from the crater. The journey back up offers panoramic views of the crater floor below, allowing for a final glimpse of the incredible wildlife before leaving.

Evening: Once you have completed your game drive, you’ll return to Arusha. From there, you’ll be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your flight back to Zanzibar, marking the end of your unforgettable safari adventure.
