Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted by our friendly representative who will assist you with your luggage and transfer you to your lodge in Arusha, the gateway to northern Tanzania, famous national parks. The drive takes approximately 1 hour, offering you the first glimpses of rural Tanzanian life, with views of small villages and scenic landscapes. Once at Africa Safari Arusha, nestled in a peaceful area you can relax and recover from your journey.
The lodge offers comfortable accommodations, a lush garden, a swimming pool, and panoramic views of Mount Meru, Tanzania’s second-highest mountain. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy dinner at the lodge’s restaurant, featuring local and international cuisine. The evening is yours to unwind, prepare for the exciting adventure ahead, and enjoy the serene sounds of the African night.
After an early breakfast at your lodge in Arusha, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, a journey of approximately 2.5 to 3 hours through scenic countryside dotted with Maasai villages and rolling hills. Upon arrival, you’ll begin your full-day game drive in one of Tanzania’s most underrated yet spectacular parks.
Tarangire is especially famous for its massive herds of elephants, ancient baobab trees, and the Tarangire River, a permanent water source that draws a high concentration of wildlife, particularly during the dry season (June to October).
The park is home to a wide variety of animals including lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, and warthogs. Bird enthusiasts will be thrilled by over 500 species of birds, from vibrant lilac-breasted rollers to giant ground hornbills.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the park’s scenic viewpoints. After your game drive, you will exit the park and continue to Karatu, a peaceful highland town nestled on the outskirts of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive at Marera Valley Lodge in the late afternoon for check-in. The lodge offers spacious cottages with beautiful views of the surrounding valley, a swimming pool, and a cozy fireplace—perfect for unwinding after a day in the wild.
After breakfast at Marera Valley Lodge, your journey continues as you drive through the stunning Ngorongoro Highlands, ascending the lush escarpment and descending into the vast plains of Serengeti National Park, one of the world’s most celebrated wildlife destinations. The drive takes approximately 5–6 hours with wildlife sightings along the way and a game drive en route into the heart of the Serengeti.
As you enter the park through Naabi Hill Gate, you’ll begin to see herds of animals roaming freely across the seemingly endless savannah. This area, known as the Central Serengeti (Seronera Valley), is renowned for its abundant resident wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, hyenas, giraffes, and hippos.
Depending on the time of year, you may also catch a glimpse of the Great Wildebeest Migration as hundreds of thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles move across the plains in search of fresh grazing.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your sunset game drive, when animals are most active and the golden light offers perfect photography opportunities. In the evening, arrive at Osinon Serengeti Camp, a comfortable luxury-tented camp nestled in the wilderness. Experience the magic of sleeping under canvas, surrounded by the sounds of nature, with warm hospitality, hot showers, and delicious meals prepared by skilled chefs.
Wake up early to the enchanting sounds of the African wilderness and enjoy a hearty breakfast at camp. Today is dedicated to exploring the endless plains of the Central Serengeti, an area renowned for its extraordinary concentration of wildlife and a vital part of the Great Migration route.
You will set out on morning and afternoon game drives, giving you the best chances to spot Africa’s “Big Five” – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino – as well as a host of other species such as cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, hippos, giraffes, and countless antelope. The Seronera River Valley is especially rich in game due to its year-round water supply, making it a prime spot for predators and prey alike.
For those seeking an unforgettable adventure, an optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at sunrise (at an additional cost). Drift silently over the vast plains as the golden morning light reveals herds of animals from a bird’s-eye view, followed by a champagne bush breakfast upon landing.
After a full day of thrilling wildlife encounters, return to Osinon Serengeti Camp to relax, enjoy a delicious dinner, and unwind under a starlit sky around the campfire.
After an early breakfast, depart from the Serengeti and drive towards the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the Natural World.” Upon arrival, you’ll descend 600 meters into the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera for a spectacular game drive.
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a wildlife haven, home to an estimated 25,000 animals, including the endangered black rhino, large elephant bulls with impressive tusks, prides of lions, hippos, jackals, flamingos, and massive herds of wildebeests and zebras. The crater floor’s diverse habitats lakes, swamps, savannahs, and acacia forests make it one of the most rewarding places to see African wildlife in a concentrated area.
You’ll enjoy a scenic picnic lunch at Ngoitoktok Springs, where you may spot hippos lazing in the water. In the afternoon, ascend the crater rim and proceed to your tented camp, nestled in the forested highlands near the crater.
After breakfast, drive to the lush Lake Manyara National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic parks. Though smaller in size, it offers a unique mix of ecosystems dense groundwater forest, grassy plains, and alkaline lake shores—each teeming with wildlife.
On your game drive, expect to see large troops of baboons, elephants moving through the woodlands, giraffes, zebras, and, if you’re lucky, the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. The soda lake attracts thousands of flamingos and other water birds, making it a birdwatcher’s paradise.
After the exciting safari, enjoy lunch and then drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel or transferred directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzania adventure.
